'Party by the Pond' concert to feature 16 Candles at Chicago Premium Outlets

Chicago Premium Outlets is bidding farewell to summer with the final "Party by the Pond" concert of the season.

On Friday, Aug. 17, Chicago's beloved 1980s tribute band 16 Candles will headline the free, public concert.

From 5 to 8 p.m., guests are invited out to the center's feature pond to enjoy top 1980s anthems while taking in the last few days of summer fun before kids head back to school.

The final Chicago Premium Outlets Friday night "Party by the Pond" concert includes kid-centric activities on and around the adjacent play area, along with favorite food truck fare from local purveyors.

On-deck for the Aug. 17 concert are Best Truckin' BBQ (beef brisket, pulled pork), Spicy Mexican Grill (tacos, quesadillas) and La Michoacana (Mexican ice cream).

In addition to a fun-filled evening, the concert also provides a great opportunity to give back.

In preparation for the back-to-school season, United Way will be conducting a school supply drive, collecting donations for local students in need. Concert-goers can stop by the United Way table to drop off contributions and to learn more about how to get involved in helping to build a stronger, more vibrant community.
