Two Senior Adults have their dream come true at Arlington Park

Eugene and Darlene Brand grew up in Palatine and have been to the Arlington Park racetrack many times over their lives, sometimes with children for family activities. It has been their ambition to sit up in the top section, enjoying food, drink and a great view from atop the race pavilion. They submitted their idea to the Solstice Senior Living at Palatine "Livin' the Dream" competition, and it came true in a big way.

Darlene and Eugene were guests of Arlington Park and got to enjoy a fabulous lunch in the Million Room Restaurant, met the jockeys who rode in the featured "Eugene and Darlene Brand" race, and were able to go down to the track to watch the race up close. They even got a chance to speak with Richard L. "Dick" Duchossois, founder and chairman of The Duchossois Group, Inc., which is known for its ownership stakes in Arlington Park and Churchill Downs race track. The day truly was one to remember, and we are grateful for the generosity of Arlington Park for making their dream a reality.

Eugene and Darlene live together at Solstice Senior Living at Palatine, an independent senior living community.
