Exchange Club of Grayslake Wins National Award

The Exchange Club of Grayslake is proud to announce that they are the recipients of the 2018 National Exchange Club Outstanding Fundraiser Award after a second very successful Lake County Food Truck Frenzy in April of 2018. Pam Weiss, the chair of this event, attended the Exchange Club National Convention in Reno, Nevada on July 14 in order to receive special recognition for this award. "The National Convention was a lot of fun and it was a great honor to receive this award," said Weiss.

Pam is an active volunteer and Board Member of the Grayslake Exchange Club, a community service organization which supports many charitable organizations in Lake County. In early 2017, Pam came up with the idea of the Food Truck Frenzy and she and her team organized 11 Food Trucks and entertainment at the Lake County Fairgrounds which raised over $6,000. On April 21, 2018, Pam more than doubled everything with 28 trucks and raising over $15,000, which will go to support several charities dedicated to the prevention of child abuse in Lake County.

The 2018 National Outstanding Fundraiser Award is the first award in this category that the Exchange Club of Grayslake has won in its 47 year history. The Club also won the Big E Award.
