Kadva Patidar Samaj of Chicago organized a summer picnic

Bartlett: More than 800 members and guests attended picnic organized by Kadva Patidar Samaj (KPS) of Chicago at Busse Forest, South Northwest in Elk Grove Village recently.

The picnic started with Walkathon at about 8 am. KPS board members headed by Manoj Patel President shared information about forthcoming events. He said on September 30 there will be Health Camp followed by Navratri in October and Diwali party in November. Secretary Vijay Patel briefed the members about the report for the year of 2017 while Treasurer Satish Patel furnished details about income statement of year 2017.

Jatin Patel, KPS Trustee and game sponsor, announced games for kids, teens and adult which included Rope Pull, Limbu Chamcha, Kothra Doad, and Water Ball. Prizes were distributed to winners.

In the afternoon KPS volunteers served appetizers like mix pakora, corn, donuts, and masala tea and coffee followed by ice cream sponsored by Manoj and Mega Patel as well as Water Melon from Himansu and Shilpa Patel and Satish and Heena Patel.

After five in the evening Indian cuisine - Puri, Chhole Bhature, rice, Kadhi, and Gulab Jamun - were served. Manoj PatelPresident of this samaj thanked food committee members like Vijay Patel, Narendra Patel, Rajesh Patel, Bhagyesh Patel, Harshad Patel, Bharat Patel, Chhotubhai Patel, T Patel and Tejash Patel, and sponsors observing that all volunteers worked hard for the success of this event.He also thanked Mr. Jayanti Oza community activist and a senior leader of this area for helpimg this samaj in all respect.
