Community Church of Rolling Meadows Corn Fest and Craft Fair Aug. 4
The 62nd Annual Cornfest and Craft Fair at Community Church of Rolling Meadows will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm (Craft Fair from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm). Admission to the grounds is free. The menu features all you can eat sweet corn, grown locally and picked just hours before it is boiled to perfection and smothered in butter. The meal also includes your choice of grilled sandwich (hamburger, brat, or hot dog with grilled onions and condiments) as well as a slice of watermelon and a cold beverage. Seating will be "under the tent" for rain or shine enjoyment. And back by popular demand, we have a "Drive -thru" to enable you to get a meal to go without getting out of your car! Meal tickets may be purchased at the door: Adults $13.00; Seniors $11.00; and Children 4 - 10 $6.00; Children 3 and under Free hot dog meal. (Presale tickets available online at www.communitychurchrm.com with $1 discount until August 1st.) Fresh picked sweet corn also will be bagged for sale by the dozen or half-dozen. A tradition since 1957, this popular event is a source of community fellowship each August. Come and spend the day with us! Something for everyone! We will have kids' activities, a raffle, and live music that will be provided throughout the day by the following local artists: Northwest Community Band Players, Music by LaVerne, Ed Cvikota, Randy Rock, and Barb Sorensen.
Our Craft Fair (10:00 am - 6:00 pm) will feature many booths filled with handmade arts and crafts by area artisans, as well as other vendors. The Community Church of Rolling Meadows is located at the northeast corner of Kirchoff Road and Meadow Drive, in the heart of Rolling Meadows. On Sunday, August 5th, we will hold our worship service outdoors, under the CORNFEST tent. This will be a joint service with The Community Church of Rolling Meadows and Kingdom Life House of Prayer. The service begins at 9:30 a.m. Dress is casual. Please join us!
