Pizza Pie Right on the Course: Join the Inaugural Gino's East 5K

Chicagoland residents are warmly invited to participate in the FIRST-EVER, Gino's East 5K Run & Walk on Saturday, July 7, 2018 beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Chicago's Montrose Harbor. Individuals of all fitness levels are invited to work up their appetites to enjoy some Gino's East pizza at the finish line.

"We're excited to offer our first, ever Gino's East race; it's a unique partnership that breaks up the monotony of a traditional 5K race with delicious pizza," said Aaron Del Mar, ASE founder. "Now we can truly determine if running out of pizza counts as cardio!"

Proceeds from the event will benefit Alliance for the Great Lakes, a local nonprofit, which involves tens of thousands of people each year in advocacy, volunteering, education, and research to ensure the great lakes are healthy and safe for all.

All participants will receive a short sleeve dri-fit provided with event registration and a pizza-themed finisher's medal upon race completion. Awards and a customized Gino's East 5K medal will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, and the top three runners of each age group. An awards ceremony to honor the race winners and to celebrate pizza as a way of life will be held immediately following the race.
