Huntley American Legion to host veterans roundtable July 27

The McHenry County Veterans Assistance Commission presents a Veterans Roundtable from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Huntley American Legion Post 673, 11712 Coral St. A VA therapist will speak on traumatic brain injury and PTSD. Come out to meet VET Service Dogs.

Learn about the BraveHearts Therapeutic Veteran Program. There will be information, food and camaraderie.

The Veterans Assistance Commission of McHenry County provides services to the local veterans community in the areas of financial assistance, VA claims and advocacy, transportation to the North Chicago VA Medical Center, and referrals assistance.

The Veterans Assistance Commission works closely with numerous federal, state, and local agencies. The commission will work with clients to identify their needs and provide information about agencies that can help.
