Sign up now for Fall 5K Stars & Stripes Shuffle

The Carol Stream Park District will hold its Fall 5K Stars & Stripes Shuffle at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Armstrong Park, 391 Illini Drive, Carol Stream.

Cost is $30, $35 for nonresidents. Race price increases by $5 on Thursday, Sept. 27 and ends by 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29.

Get in your warm-up race before the Chicago Marathon and help the park district build the Veterans Memorial Plaza in Carol Stream Town Center.

It is a chip-timed 5K run/walk on a certified course with awards in six age groups. Register by Thursday, Sept. 13, to receive specified size T-shirt.

Additional shirts will be available at the race, first-come, first-serve. T-shirt sizes run big, youth large and youth extra large shirts are also available.

Last-minute entries will be accepted at packet pickup and on-site until 8 a.m. the morning of the race.
