Enjoy 'A Night at the Opera' with Lazarus House dinner July 26

Lazarus House will present "A Night at the Opera" on Thursday, July 26, at Villa Verone, 416 Hamilton St. in Geneva. Social hour starts at 6 p.m. with an Italian buffet dinner donated by Villa Verone; a cash bar is available. The concert at 7:30 p.m. will feature Vincent McPherson.

Based in the Chicago area, McPherson has always had a love for singing. He graduated from Elmhurst College and started performing throughout the United States in all genres, including opera, musical theater, and jazz. His most recent credits include "La Boheme" (Miami Music Festival); "Les Miserables" excerpts (Chicagoland Pops Orchestra). Most recent solo works include "Memorial Weekend Military Tribute," "A Night of Musical Legends" (Chicagoland Pops Orchestra); "Friendship Lasts Forever" (Great Lakes Music Festival); and "Easy to Love" (Wheaton Symphony Orchestra). Vincent is humbled and honored to be able to sing for such a great cause.

Tickets, limited to 80 seats, are $50 each. To purchase tickets, call Lazarus House at (630) 587-2144 or online at lazarushouse.net/special-events. Tickets are sold online until the day or until tickets run out.

One hundred percent of ticket purchases will benefit Lazarus House, a 501(c)(3) emergency shelter, Center for Transitional Living, and outreach program that serves men, women, and children from Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and western rural Kane County.
