New Golf 4 Kids Fundraiser Scheduled for June 25 to Support ICompete Youth Programs

$10 donation for 90 minutes of foot golf, putting, and driving range at Palatine Hills Golf Course

ICompete, in partnership with Palatine Park District and Partners for Our Communities, presents Golf 4 Kids, a family friendly fundraising event, on Monday, June 25. Golf 4 Kids will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Palatine Hills Golf Course, 512 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine. For a $10 donation, participants will receive 90 minutes of access to the FootGolf course, driving range and putting green at the golf course along with one free door prize ticket and light refreshments. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase for a wide variety of prizes donated by local organizations and businesses.

To register for the event, visit palatineparks.org and use event code ICOMPETESPECEVNT under the special events section of the registration site. The event is recommended for all ages from 5 years old through adults, and children must be supervised by a registered adult. Loaner clubs will be available, or participants are welcome to bring their own. Please note that strollers will not be allowed on the course.

All proceeds from the event will benefit ICompete youth programs. According to Cristina Correa who works with the program, "ICompete provides year-round programming for underserved youth and families in District 15. We break down the barriers and offer academics, athletics and arts to everyone that wants to participate. ICompete has given many children the first opportunity to play a sport, try an instrument, perform in a dance recital, or attend a Palatine High School football game. We are very fortunate to have the support from our dedicated staff, community members, and collaborative partners."
