Bark, growl and howl for Yappy Hour

Let your summer evening go to the dogs during Schaumburg Park District's Yappy Hour.

Set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., June 22, at K9 Dog Park, 120 Remington Road, the annual happy hour for four-legged friends and their owners features wine, beer and soda. Activities for pups include a dog agility course, bobbing for hot dogs and crafts for children.

"It's nice to go out on a summer evening," said Mike Wold, Meineke Recreation Center Manager. "This is a chance to hang out and socialize with other dog owners, while your dog socializes as well."

A copy of each dog's vaccination records must be brought the day-of the event. Participants must be 21 and older to consume alcoholic beverages.

Resident admission for adults 21 and older with beverage is $12; $5 without beverage for guests 18 and older and $3 for children ages 3 to 17. Nonresident admission for adults 21 and older with beverage is $18; $11 without beverage for guests 18 and older and $5 for children.
