Kane County Cougars raffle benefits Mutual Ground

The Kane County Cougars selected local domestic violence and sexual assault agency, Mutual Ground, to be the beneficiary of the proceeds of their 50/50 raffle for the months of April and May.

On the field to accept the check at the June 5 Cougars game was Michelle Meyer, executive director, and Kathy Melone, advancement director.

Mutual Ground in Aurora relies on the generosity of communities and individuals to continue improving the lives of those who seek domestic violence and sexual assault services at their agency.

The check from the Kane County Cougars in the amount of $1,099.50 will help support the agency's mission.

Mutual Ground supports victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Kendall and Southern Kane counties by providing counseling, education, shelter, court advocacy, hospital advocacy, and family services.
