Lisle's downtown master plan public hearing continues June 20

The Village of Lisle is conducting a public review process for the Downtown Lisle Master Plan, a document that will help to guide development in the downtown area over the next 10 years.

A continuance of the planning and zoning commission public hearing held May 23 will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Lisle Village Hall, 925 Burlington Ave.

"We encourage all that are interested to review the plan and provide their thoughts," said Village Manager Eric Ertmoed. "The draft plan is the result of more than a year-and-a-half of input gathered from elected and appointed officials in addition to the public through community meetings, surveys, open houses, workshops, interviews and other means. We invite input to ensure this is a strong plan that is representative of the community's interest."

Stakeholders who participated in public engagement activities directed by the Downtown Planning Advisory Committee included residents, business community representatives, property owners, local organizations, students and visitors.

The Downtown Lisle Master Plan will serve as a blueprint to direct growth, investment, and development in the downtown area. Those interested in learning more about the plan can view the draft at villageoflisle.org/dldmp.
