Lombard Cruise Nights celebrating 20th anniversary

Lombard's Cruise Nights and Summer Concert series is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a summer lineup from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturdays in downtown that opens June 9 and runs through Aug. 25.

Bands will perform from 6:30 to 9:30 each night.

Here's the schedule ...

• June 9: STRATA performs hits of the '50s and '60s; the car theme is classics of the '50s and '60s.

• June 16: Hello Weekend performs pop hits; the car theme is Corvettes & Camaros.

• June 23: Rocks Off is a Rolling Stones tribute band; the car theme is British Imports.

• June 30: Rosie & the Rivets perform retro rock from the '50s and '60s; the car theme is Hot Rods.

• July 7: No show because of the holiday.

• July 14: The Neverly Brothers perform a rock tribute from Elvis to the Beatles; car theme is Cadillac Night.

• July 21: The LTC Family Night car theme is Dodge, MOPAR.

• July 28: Heartache Tonight is an Eagles tribute band; the car theme is '70s Muscle Cars.

• Aug. 4: 7DEEZ Band performs disco; the car theme is Convertible Night.

• Aug. 11: Breakfast Club performs hits of the '80s; the car theme is '80s and Newer.

• Aug. 18: R-Gang performs Motown and R&B; car theme is Ford and GM.

• Aug. 25: American English is a Beatles tribute band; the car theme is End of Season.

The celebration also includes a free Kids' Corner from 6 to 9 p.m. at the corner of Park and St. Charles sponsored by community organizations. The cars will be parked behind Splash Park on Lincoln Avenue.

Visitors are reminded this is a family-friendly and alcohol-free event.
