American English to headline 'Party by the Pond' Summer Concert Series at Chicago Premium Outlets

Chicago's premier Beatles tribute band, American English, will kick off this summer's "Party by the Pond" concert series at Chicago Premium Outlets, with a free public concert at 6 p.m. Friday, June 15.

Voted best-of-the-best at Beatlefest for three consecutive years, American English is the first of three popular cover bands scheduled to perform on Chicago Premium Outlets' picturesque outdoor feature pond plaza this summer.

Also slated to appear are ultimate '90s party band, Run Forrest Run (July 20) and '80s-inspired standouts, 16 Candles (Aug. 17).

Dubbed "The Beatles Incarnate" by Sam Leach, original promoter of The Beatles, American English performs worldwide, but boasts its most ardent fans in hometown Chicago. The band has won Illinois Entertainer of the Year accolades and been voted "Best Tribute Band," three of the last four years by Chicago-area fans.

Each of Chicago Premium Outlets' family-friendly Friday night "Party by the Pond" concerts will include kid-centric activities on and around the adjacent play area, along with favorite food truck fare from local purveyors.

On-deck for the June 15 concert are Cheesie's (grilled cheese), Spicy Mexican Grill (tacos, quesadillas) and La Michoacana (Mexican ice cream), among others.

In addition to a fun-filled evening, the concert series also provides a great opportunity to give back.

In preparation for the back-to-school season, United Way will be conducting a school supply drive, collecting donations for local students in need.

Concert-goers can stop by the United Way table to drop off contributions and to learn more about how to get involved in helping to build a stronger, more vibrant community.
