Environmental Defenders open new Styrofoam collection site

On Friday, May 11, The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County opened its newest Styrofoam collection site in partnership with the City of Woodstock's Public Works facility on 326 Washington St.

The collection shed was funded by a generous grant from the Rotary Club of Woodstock and anonymous donors. It is open to all residents of McHenry County daily from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In order to protect this site and the ability to offer this special collection, Styrofoam must be clean when dropped off.

Thanks to all of the volunteers who make this collection possible, which keeps Styrofoam away from the watershed and land.

Many thanks to partners U-Haul, Dart Company and Chicago Logistic Service.
