Community Garage Sale helps clear clutter

Spring cleaning yields summer sales - garage sales. The larger the sale, the bigger the crowd of shoppers looking for bargains to take home.

Clean out your closets, basement and garage and sell your unwanted or no longer needed items alongside your friends, neighbors and other residents from throughout the community.

The annual community garage sale is the perfect venue for college students, residents without access to a garage or those that don't have enough time to organize a weekend-long garage sale at home.

Let Cary Park District handle the space and marketing of your sale for you. The sale will be in Lions Park and each registered seller will have one parking space to display and sell items. The sale is scheduled from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 2, with public shopping time from 8 to 11 a.m.

Registration is required to participate as a seller and is available online at www.carypark.com or in person at the Community Center. Cost to register is $9 for residents and $14 for nonresidents.
