Space still available in CLC summer courses; classes begin June 4

Make this summer a time to learn new jobs skills, earn transfer credits, work toward a degree or certificate or simply gain new insights. The College of Lake County offers scores of classroom-based, online and blended courses beginning June 4 and ending July 27 or sooner.

"From art to biology, English composition to management and social media skills, CLC's summer courses are designed to serve the diverse needs of Lake County residents and employers," said Jason Sarna, director of admissions and recruitment.

Are you attending a four-year school? Taking summer classes at CLC can save money and advance your progress. There are several courses for which prerequisites have been deferred for Summer Session. This means that you can register for classes without the requirement to first provide your college transcripts or test scores. For a full list of courses with deferred prerequisites, visit www.clcillinois.edu/summer.

CLC's Workforce and Professional Development Institute offers dozens of courses covering entrepreneurship, business skills, human resources, Google tools, productivity, truck driver training and more. Personal enrichment courses run the gamut from swing dancing, piano and fitness to creative writing. And for residents over 50, CLC's Discovery and Quest programs offer short-term, courses in current events, history, literature, film and more at the Southlake Campus in Vernon Hills. New Discovery offerings include Best of Broadway and The Best Film Director You Don't Know. The Quest program, offered July 16-19, features topics exploring Chicago at the dawn of the American Century. For details on personal enrichment courses, visit www.clcillinois.edu/personalenrichment, call (847) 543-2615 or email CPEInfo@clcillinois.edu.

All CLC offices and campus locations will be closed on Monday, May 28 for Memorial Day. Classes will resume and college offices will open for normal business hours on Tuesday, May 29.
