Children's Advocacy Center to hold 5K June 30
The Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County will host its 11th annual Champions for Children 5K Run/Walk at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at 640 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates.
The event is open to all and proceeds help children who have been physically or sexually abused. The goal is to raise $15,000. This is the first year the race is being bib-timed, thanks to the Hoffman Estates Police Department. Walkers are welcome, too. The event will include yard games, face painting, a DJ and dunk tank.
