Lazarus House receives $17,000 donation from Gerald Subaru of North Aurora

Lazarus House in St. Charles was chosen by Gerald Subaru of North Aurora as their hometown charity for the 2017 "Share the Love" event.

"Share the Love" was established by Subaru of America Inc. as a way to bring Subaru owners together to make a difference in the community while showcasing its Subaru vehicles. The nonprofit received a donation of $17,259.

"Our sincere thank you to Subaru of America Inc. and Gerald Subaru of North Aurora for their contribution to us through their 'Share the Love' event," stated Darlene Riebe, fundraising coordinator for Lazarus House.

"We are extremely grateful for this wonderful support and their donation will help fund our daily operations to provide safe shelter, food, education, and care to help individuals return to independent living with the skills and habits needed for long term success," Riebe said.

Lazarus House offers an emergency shelter, Center for Transitional Living, and outreach program for men, women, and children serving Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and western rural Kane County.
