Geneva Unit District 304 to host annual retirement open house

Geneva Unit District 304 will hold its 11th annual retirement open house from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at Geneva Middle School South cafeteria, 1415 Viking Drive. A "drop-in" reception will be held from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. followed by a brief recognition ceremony from 4:15 to 4:30 p.m.

All are welcome to attend an open house celebrating this year's many retirees from the school district.

This year's retirees include:

• Harrison Street Elementary School: Michelle Johnson, special education assistant; and Karen Tatlock, special education assistant;

• Heartland Elementary School: Jill Nippert, third grade;

• Mill Creek Elementary School: Karen Quiggle, special education assistant; and Bella Williams, special education assistant;

• Williamsburg Elementary School: Meredith Carlson, librarian; Deborah Cefalu; special education assistant; Stephanie Hack, Certified School Nurse; and Gail Rynn, kindergarten assistant;

• Western Avenue School/Williamsburg Elementary School: Cindy Gregait, physical education;

• Geneva Middle School North: Rose Educate, Learning Behavior Specialist; Ellen Landau, language arts; Maureen Monaghan, mathematics; and Carol Ann Page, physical education;

• Geneva Middle School South: Deborah Rabe, learning behavior specialist; Bill Tait, physical education; and Maureen Weiler, mathematics;

• Geneva High School: Roxanne Curtis, music; and Steve Richardson, maintenance;

• Central Office: Donna Oberg, assistant superintendent, business services; and Dan Ward, custodian.

This is an opportunity for district staff and students, the community, and the family and friends of retirees to say "thanks" and "good luck" to those who have served the school district so well for so many years.
