Thinking Money exhibit draws a crowd

Many patrons stopped by Schaumburg Township District Library on Saturday, May 19, to experience Thinking Money, a travelling exhibit on display at the library through June 26.

Thinking Money uses an adventure-themed storyline and interactive iPad content to teach tweens, teens and their caregivers about financial responsibility. Schaumburg Library is one of 50 U.S. libraries awarded the opportunity to host this exhibit, created by the American Library Association and FINRA Investor Education Foundation.

"We're so excited to host this exhibit," said Executive Director Monica Harris. "Thinking Money makes learning about topics like needs vs. wants and saving for a rainy day fun and simple for tweens and teens to understand."

Thinking Money is on display at Schaumburg Library's Central Library, located at 130 S. Roselle Road, in Schaumburg, through June 26.

Schaumburg Library is also hosting a variety of financial literacy programs to extend learning beyond the exhibit. Visit SchaumburgLibrary.org/events for program dates, times and details.
