Joyce Ln wins 2018 Naperville Battle of the Bands

Seven Naperville area high school rock bands competed in the 15th annual Naperville Park District Youth Ambassadors Battle of the Bands on Friday, May 11.

Joyce Ln from Neuqua Valley High School won first place. They will perform at Ribfest at a time to be announced and will represent the Naperville Park District in the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association's statewide Battle of the Bands.

The second- and third-place winners, both also from Neuqua Valley High School, were the Erik M. Trio and The Boys.

Both bands were invited to play at the Frontier Kite Fly Festival, presented by Naperville Moms Network, on Sunday, June 3 at Frontier Sports Complex, 3380 Cedar Glade Drive.

Due to a previous commitment, Erik M. Trio will not be able to perform; however, The Boys will join the lineup of entertainment for the festival, which includes the Neuqua Valley High School Steel Band and other local performers.
