Benches at local schools to spread message of kindness, acceptance

Lovely Candy Company, based in Algonquin, is continuing its mission of "Spreading the Love-ly" by donating Buddy Benches to schools across the Chicago area.

The initiative is just another example of how the candy company is giving back to the surrounding community. The company is donating five benches across District 300 schools to encourage acceptance, kindness and inclusion.

On Wednesday, May 16, Mike Nakamura, president of Lovely Candy, dedicated one of the benches alongside Algonquin-based Community Unit District 300 Superintendent Fred Heid and Algonquin Village President John Schmitt, at the Algonquin Lakes Elementary School playground.

The Lovely Candy Company is known for its consciously crafted candies that are made with only premium ingredients and are free of artificial flavors, gluten, GMOs and high fructose corn syrup. Visit lovelycandyco.com or www.facebook.com/LovelyCandyCompany/.
