Presence St. Joseph Hospital's 'Day at the Races' set for June 16

Join some of Fox Valley's local philanthropists, physicians, hospital associates and leaders, as more than 150 guests celebrate Presence St. Joseph Hospital-Elgin at the second annual "Day at the Races" on Saturday, June 16, at Arlington International Racecourse in Arlington Heights.

All proceeds from the event will support new and innovative electronic patient flow technology allowing them to deliver timely and purposeful patient care.

Last year's event raised more than $40,000 in support of a new Community Resource Center at the Elgin hospital.

As a nonprofit health system, Presence Health raises funds to transform health care in the communities they serve.

Through philanthropy, Presence Health provides innovative technology and community programs that directly impact the lives of those we serve. Thanks to philanthropy, Presence Health has implemented state of the art TeleHealth technology in 17 different programs across system communities.

Examples of community programs include: educating Spanish-speaking teens about the importance of healthy eating and exercise to prevent diabetes, caring for low-income seniors in their homes, and caring for low-income pregnant women.

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and the lunch and program will begin at 1:15 p.m.
