Schaumburg Library Invites All Ages to Summer Challenge Kick-off

Storytimes, crafts, games and a musical performance will all be part of the Schaumburg Library's Summer Challenge Kick-off from 2:30-5:30 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at the Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. This year's theme is "Make a Better World," with many of the activities related to that concept. All of the kick-off events are free and do not require registration.

Inside the library, all ages can try their hands at screen printing with Artist William Estrada, listen to stories, make a variety of crafts, or participate in games. At 4:30 p.m., the fun moves outdoors to Town Square as the five-piece band Sweet Sheiks offers up popular music from the 1920s and 30s with early jazz, blues and Americana classics.

For a full listing of upcoming Schaumburg Library events, see the April-May Guide that was mailed to Schaumburg Township residents, or go online to www.SchaumburgLibrary.org.
