14th annual Move for the Kids 5K Walk/Run May 20 to benefit Lurie Children's

The 14th annual Move for the Kids 5k Walk/Run, benefiting Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, returns to the city's lakefront on Sunday, May 20.

Lurie Children's signature, family-friendly event starts and ends at Soldier Field.

Presented by C.H. Robinson, Move for the Kids is a highly anticipated, city-favorite, attracting thousands of participants each year.

Move for the Kids is an easy and enjoyable way for Chicago families to support a healthier future for patients treated at Lurie Children's.

The race kicks off at 11 a.m., with participants of all ages and skill levels competing.

New this year, the Grant Thornton 100-meter Kids' Dash, offers kids ages 12 and under the chance to lace up their shoes and get moving. The Grant Thornton 100-Meter Kids' Dash will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the Stadium Green.

After the race, runners/walkers can enjoy complimentary snacks, beverages, kids' games and activities, and live entertainment at the post-race party on Stadium Green at Soldier Field. Spectators are also encouraged to come out and cheer on participating family, friends and patients.

Registration is $40, $5 for children ages 4-12 and free for children ages 3 and under.

The proceeds from the event support Lurie Children's areas of greatest need to ensure patients receive the best care possible to help them live a bright, healthy future. Registration will be available up until the morning of the race.
