Writing Workshop to Target Great Beginnings

Writers of all genres and levels of experience are invited to a workshop designed to intrigue readers and keep them reading. "How to Hook Readers," offered by the American Christian Fiction Writers-Chicago Group (ACFW Chicago), will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, May 11 in the Program Room of the Schaumburg Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Non-ACFW members are welcome, and there is no fee or registration required.

In this writing workshop and critique session, participants will share samples of first lines based on skills learned at the previous meeting. Attending the previous meeting is not a requirement for attending the May 11 meeting. Participants are encouraged to bring samples of first lines they have used in manuscripts and published works.
