CLC Horticulture program holds annual plant sale

The Horticulture department at the College of Lake County will hold its annual plant sale fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 10 and 11, in the horticulture greenhouse, Building H near the Brae Loch Road entrance, on the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St.

Proceeds help support CLC horticulture student scholarships, internships and program enhancements.

The plants were grown by CLC students and staff. Sowing seeds and propagating plants to prepare for the sale began last fall. Purchasers may choose from herbs, annuals, perennials and hanging baskets of flowers, as well as vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, tomatoes and squash. A variety of native perennials are also available.

A complete list of the plants on sale is available on the College of Lake County's Horticulture department Web page at www.clcillinois.edu/programs/hrt. Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card.

For more information, contact Rory Klick, chair of the horticulture program, at (847) 543-2320 or rklick@clcillinois.edu.
