Adler Center Celebrates Centennial with Speakeasy Benefit

The David Adler Music & Arts Center's annual 'Speakeasy' Benefit will be held on Saturday, May 19, from 6-10 p.m., at the historic home of re¬nowned architect, David Adler. This year, the Adler Estate celebrates its 100-year anniversary and announces ambitious plans to restore much of Adler's home to its original condition.

Become part of the centennial celebration, and discover how this quiet man transformed residential architectural design along the North Shore.

"It will be an evening of dancing, excellent food by 545 North, and great art. It's a fun night out and a great way to give back and support the Adler Center," says Heather Williamson, Program Director.

The Centennial Speakeasy Benefit features:

Gourmet small plates by Chef David Gray of 545 North Bar and Grill; Craft beer by Tighthead Brewing Company; Dancing, and live jazz music by the Highland Park Pops Big Band; Annual silent auction of original fine art; Prohibition Era specialty cocktails; A live auction featuring chef dinners, distillery tours and more

"The David Adler Music and Arts Center unites the past with the present in a beautiful historic setting… to have one's artwork in David Adler's Libertyville home is an honor," says Marcia Babler, a Libertyville artist whose surrealist collage is one of the 60 pieces of original fine art up for auction.
