Romanucci & Blandin Promotes Bryce Hensley to Associate Attorney

Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a leading personal injury and civil trial practice law firm in Chicago, has proudly appointed Bryce T. Hensley and Michael Grieco to associate attorneys. Prior to their new roles, both Hensley and Grieco served as law clerks for the firm where they contributed to significant cases concerning police misconduct and excessive force, mass shootings, medical malpractice and premise liability.

"We are excited to promote these two dedicated attorneys to our team who for years have contributed to the firm's success," said Antonio M. Romanucci, Principal and Partner at Romanucci & Blandin. "Their combined knowledge of the law, passion and uncompromising dedication and belief in helping those who have endured injustices will serve them well in this next chapter of their career."

"Both Bryce and Michael have proven themselves to be driven individuals who are committed to their teams and clients," added Stephan D. Blandin, Principal and Partner at Romanucci & Blandin. "They will undoubtedly serve as valuable assets for our firm."

Bryce Hensley joined Romanucci & Blandin as a law clerk in 2015. During that time he was instrumental in helping the firm secure a record breaking $44.7 million dollar verdict against the City of Chicago. This is the largest verdict ever returned in a police misconduct lawsuit involving the city of Chicago and in the state of Illinois. Bryce earned his BA at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in political science and graduated in the top eight percent of his class at Chicago-Kent College of Law, earning him the honor of graduating magna cum laude and as a member of the Order of the Coif. While at Chicago-Kent, Bryce was the captain of the school's nationally-ranked trial advocacy team, where he earned the Best Advocate Award at the national Tournament of Champions. In the classroom, he earned the CALI award for scoring the highest grade in six of his classes: Torts, Property, Civil Procedure, Evidence, Trial Advocacy, and the Law of Section 1983. Bryce currently volunteers as a coach for Chicago Kent's Trial Advocacy Team and is a member of the American Association for Justice, Illinois Trial Lawyers' Association, and the 7th Circuit Bar Association.

Michael Grieco began his tenure at Romanucci & Blandin as a law clerk in 2014, focusing on plaintiff's personal injury, construction negligence, and medical malpractice cases. Since then he has contributed to many of the firm's successes, including securing a $30 million dollar settlement, which is the fourth largest medical malpractice suit for a minor in the state of Illinois, and is the largest settlement for a child born with esophageal atresia in Illinois. Michael graduated from the Loyola Chicago University School of Law where he was the Vice President of Loyola's Student Bar Association, the Executive Lt. Governor of the American Bar Association Student Leadership team, and the President of Loyola's Justinian Society of Lawyers. Michael earned an honors degree in Sociology at the University of Notre Dame where he was a placekicker for the football team and earned a monogram during his senior season. Currently, Michael is an active member of the Justinian Society of Lawyers, the University of Notre Dame Monogram Career Network, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the St. Ignatius College Prep Young Alumni Society.
