Carpentersville Rotary Pub Crawl returns Saturday

The Rotary Pub Crawl is back! Rotary Club of Carpentersville is switching to spring for the yearly crawl through downtown Dundee's famous pub district. It will be 4 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28. Tickets are $20 and available at rotarypubcrawl.com.

They have an epic game planned this year that should be a blast, and very simple. Just get a drink to get a playing card, collect a card from each bar, and make a poker hand at the end to win prizes.

It will start at 4 p.m. at Bandito Barney's in East Dundee. Registration will be 4 to 6 p.m.; you will get a map to follow. There will be a meetup at 7 p.m. at Rosie's.

At 9 p.m., there will be an after-party at Bandito's with raffles and prizes, all benefiting the club's charitable efforts.

The winner will go home with a cash prize equal to 10 percent of all ticket proceeds. The rest is going to charity.

Each drink and meal you order will earn you a poker card. When you get back to the final bar, everyone will compare who has the best poker hand to determine a winner. If there is a tie, a winner will be picked by another card game. Please do not trade cards or try to break the rules. Cheating will disqualify you from winning prizes.

The Rotary Club of Carpentersville is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit that raises money to support those in need within the community. Your contribution directly supports our many charitable efforts and may be tax deductible.

Volunteers are welcome - let's talk over pancakes!

Join them for breakfast at Denny's at 7 a.m. Wednesdays. Meet Rotary members and learn more about what Rotary is all about. Visit carpentersvillerotary.org.
