Teresa Mussman Artwork on Display at Des Plaines City Hall

During the month of May, artist Teresa Mussman will have her paintings on exhibit at the Des Plaines City Hall, 1420 Miner Street, in a variety of mediums.

A Chicago area resident since the 1990s and current Recording Secretary of the Des Plaines Art Guild, Teresa Q. Mussman creates art based on iconic scenes of nature and structures, as well as people, in everyday life. Much of this is influenced by childhood memories of her many familial moves throughout the United States, as well as time spent living and traveling abroad. She is an artist of detail that leans toward creating complex subjects across the color palette.

Landscape scenes are her primary focus at this time and have been captured with a wide range of mediums including acrylics, pastels, watercolor, charcoal and pencil. While she has also etched metals to create unique works of art that display her desire to experiment, she excels at putting the viewer at the scene, sensing the cool silence of ice or the warmth of the sun.

Please download a membership form at dpag.org if you would like to join the Des Plaines Art Guild.
