Early bird rates available for 18th annual Rosary Road Scholars 5K

Join Rosary High School for the 18th annual Road Scholars 5K on Sunday, May 20.

This year's theme will be the "Donut Dash." It will begin at 9 a.m. at the high school, 901 N. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora. The course starts at the school, runs 3.1 miles through the residential west side of Aurora and returns to Rosary. Doughnuts and awards will be presented after the 5K.

This event is for anyone who wants to walk or run … it doesn't matter, just come out and join the fun and support the Alumnae Association's largest fundraiser. This event raises funding for the Sister Mary Joseph Scholarship awarded to daughters of alumnae attending Rosary High School. Help the alumnae assocation in continuing to provide this scholarship to the deserving young women desiring a Rosary education.

To participate in this event, you must register by 3 p.m. Friday, May 11, or onsite on race day. The early bird fee by April 30 is $25 or $30 after; for Rosary or Marmion students, $5 or $10; and $75 or $95 for a family (parents and children up to age 18 - maximum of four participants). All proceeds from this event go toward raising money for scholarships.

There are early bird rates, so make sure to register today. Visit www.rosaryhs.com/5kRun.

Individuals and businesses are invited to sponsor the 5K. If you want to be a Glazed, Frosted or Sprinkles Sponsor, visit www.rosaryhs.com. One hundred percent of your donation is tax deductible.

Proceeds fund the Sister Mary Joseph Scholarship and help finance the Rosary Alumnae budget for the coming year. They need to raise $8,000 for the scholarships. Sponsorship starts at $50, but they accept any and all donations.
