SBA offering $2,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors

The Schaumburg Business Association (SBA) awards scholarships of $2,500 to high school students graduating in 2018 with goals to pursue a business related degree in college, and to adults looking to further their careers through further education in advanced manufacturing related fields.

Awards are based on several considerations that include academic achievement, community involvement, and need. Scholarships will be awarded in a one time payment by check, within 30 days of announcement.

Applicant must possess a minimum 3.0 GPA and must plan to attend a technical or trade school, business college, or a two- or four-year college or university in the state of Illinois

The application packet, which is available thru the Schaumburg Business Association website, must be fully and legibly completed.

The application packet must be received by the Schaumburg Business Association by May 1, 2018. Applications may be mailed, faxed, or dropped off in person. The staff and Board of Directors for the SBA will not speak to or communicate with any applicant, or their proxies, regarding their submissions during the application process.

Applicant finalist(s) must come in for an in person interview with the scholarship Committee. Scholarship recipients must be available to attend the SBA's annual Toast of Schaumburg gala on the evening of October 12, 2018.
