Sponsors sought for Hampshire Park District's June celebration

Celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Hampshire Park District at the grand opening celebration of Bruce Ream Memorial Park from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 23. The park is at 333 W. Jefferson Ave.

There will be a band, food, splash pad and more. Visit www.hampshireparkdistrict.org.

This spring, the park district is completing the construction of the Bruce Ream Memorial Park with $850,000 of improvements that were funded through developer impact fees, an Open Space Land Acquisition & Development grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and a Kane County Riverboat Grant. The improvements include a shared-use trail, fitness stations, playground, bankshot court, full basketball court, sand volleyball court, pickleball court, exercise/sled hill, and a splash pad.

Sponsors are needed. For questions, contact Laura Schraw at laura@hampshireparkdistrict.org or (847) 683-2690. Sponsorship forms, payment, and logo are due by Sunday, April 15, to be guaranteed to be printed on the T-shirt and banners advertising the event.
