Hampshire club to learn about senior living options April 17

The next meeting of Hampshire-Henpeck Unit of Home and Community Education will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the Heartland Bank, Route 72 and Warner, Hampshire.

Fleurette Elia, a health care liaison from A Place For Mom, will give a presentation on senior living options, followed by questions and answers. Refreshments will be served by hostesses Barbara Mursu and Lori Tasch.

Plan to attend the annual meeting on Wednesday, May 16, at the Eaglebrook Country Club, 2288 Fargo Blvd. in Geneva. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the meeting at 11 a.m. with a program entitled "Golden Age of Hollywood." Reservations are due by May 8.

Unit members attended the County International Luncheon and Auction March 22. This year's program, "Aussie Show," was performed by Ron and Sandie. Members enjoyed a delicious Australian luncheon, catered by Sweet Dream Desserts-Catering located in Sycamore. Unit members wish to extend a special thank you to all the Kane County Association HCE board members for all their time and hard work.

At the March meeting, they discussed food and drug interactions and played a "Left-Right Easter Game." The hostesses from the March meeting were Frances Stuehler and Jan Ihssen.
