Hilltop Suppers returns with spring menu April 10

First Congregational Church of Dundee is hosting Hilltop Community Suppers, an outreach effort that offers a free monthly meal served restaurant-style on the second Tuesday of each month.

The next free supper will offered from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, in the church narthex, 900 S. Eighth St., West Dundee. The menu will feature a spinach and strawberry salad, chicken tetrazzini, vegetable, a breadstick, rainbow Jell-O cake and assorted drinks. Senior and children's portions are available upon request.

The suppers are open to community members in need of a warm, home-cooked meal and a social experience - veterans, active duty military families, food pantry patrons, homeless individuals, seniors and single parents.

It is run entirely by volunteers; more than 70 members of the church have signed up to cook, clean and serve. Students in the church's youth groups have volunteered to wait tables.

Freewill donations also will be accepted at each supper and any additional contributions are accepted at any time. For details, call (847) 426-2161 ext. 202 or visit www.fccdundee.com.
