Frankie Valli tribute concert to help support SEASPAR
The Four C Notes, a tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, will headline a fundraiser concert to benefit the South East Association for Special Parks and Recreation.
The Four C Notes re-create the songs that made an overnight sensation of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, whose popularity was reignited by the Broadway show "Jersey Boys." Backed by a live seven-piece band, the group is led by John Michael Coppola, who appeared in Chicago's long-running production of "Jersey Boys."
Coppola, who understudied the role of Frankie Valli during the nearly three-year run of the Chicago production, started the Four C Notes in 2013.
"I was asked to create a 30-minute set for a wedding performed to music tracks. I hired three friends of mine from the Chicago theater and music scene, and it sort of took off from there," Coppola said. "It was as if the universe said 'Yes! Go with that instinct.' The show has grown to 90 minutes and we've been busy ever since."
The group now performs at events nationwide.
"We always love coming back to the area to support wonderful organizations such as SEASPAR," Coppola said.
Concert proceeds will support SEASPAR's recreational programs and services for individuals with disabilities served by the park districts of Clarendon Hills, Darien, Downers Grove, La Grange, La Grange Park, Lemont, Lisle, Westmont and Woodridge, and the villages of Brookfield, Indian Head Park and Western Springs.
"SEASPAR is excited to have the Four C Notes performing at this year's concert to raise funds for our programs and services," said Matt Corso, SEASPAR's executive director. "It will be a really fun evening for the community while having a meaningful impact on SEASPAR. The financial support we receive through fundraising events like this concert enables us to expand programming, enhance services, offer fee assistance for participants in need and much more."
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at the Tivoli Theatre, 5021 Highland Ave., Downers Grove.

A cash bar and refreshments will be available at intermission.
