Addison Park District aims to keep kids active at Youth Obstacle Course Race April 21

Kids will have the opportunity to jump, climb and get active outside Saturday, April 21, during the second annual Youth Obstacle Course Race in Addison.

Sponsored by Addison Park District, the event features an obstacle course that includes a tube crawl, hay bale pyramid, tire run, tennis net crawl and more. The event is designed specifically for the most daring of racers ages 6 to 14.

Registration is $15 per racer. All participants will receive a T-shirt, goody bag, commemorative medal and bragging rights for conquering the course.

The Youth Obstacle Course Race will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 21 at Centennial Park.

The district's 2018 Summer Fun Guide will be delivered to the homes of Addison residents Friday, April 20. If you do not receive your copy, call the park district administrative office at (630) 233-7275 and provide your home address for delivery.

The brochure also will be available in each facility and online at addisonparks.org with a full curriculum of leisure activities for all ages and lifestyles.
