Free cybersecurity presentation at College of DuPage April 27

The Homeland Security Training Institute at College of DuPage will host "HSTI Live: Cybersecurity" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 27, in the SSG Miller Homeland Education Center, Room 1022, on the college's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

Funded by a Resource for Excellence Grant, this event is free and open to the public.

Attendees will learn about the numerous challenges cybercrime poses to law enforcement, what organizations can do to defend against cybercrime and provide an update on the latest attack trends and defenses.

Speakers at the event include Diana Kelley, Cybersecurity Field CTO for Microsoft; Dave Tyson, CEO of CISO INSIGHTS and Cybereasylearning.com; Nicole Darden Ford, Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer and Information Technology Quality Compliance and Information Governance supporting Baxter Healthcare; and Lucas Rothaar, Supervisory Special Agent of the FBI Chicago Counterterrorism Branch.

The Homeland Security Training Institute at College of DuPage is focused on education for law enforcement, fire science, first responders and corporate security personnel in the area of homeland security.
