Spring into action with Schaumburg Park District camps

Taking a break from school this spring doesn't mean taking a break from playtime!

Children ages 6 and older are invited to spend spring break with Schaumburg Park District enjoying active fun, exploring nature and playing sports. The District also offers a chess camp at Bock Neighborhood Center, 1223 W. Sharon Lane, for children ages 5 and older.

Included in the spring break lineup is the full-day So Cool Spring Break Camp, at Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way. The camp features games, field trips and crafts.

"Spring break camps are a safe and fun option for children when they're off from school," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program coordinator. "It's an excellent way to keep them engaged while making memories during their break."

Camps run March 26 to 30. Upcoming camps include:

• So Cool Spring Break Camp

• Chess Scholars Spring Break Camp

• Meineke Park Challenge Course Skills Camp

• Spring Valley Spring Break Camp
