Glenbard Parent Series to present 'How to Survive the College Application Process'

The Glenbard Parent Series: (GPS) Navigating Healthy Families will present "Calming the Nerves - How to Survive the College Application Process: From Application to Acceptance Step by Step" with journalist Christine VanDeVelde on Tuesday, April 10.

Don't miss this best-selling author as she presents compassionate and professional advice regarding finding a college that's the right fit and more. Participants will learn:

• The role of extracurricular activities;

• What's more important - high grades or challenging courses;

• The role testing plays;

• The best candidates for early admission;

• Advice for student athletes;

• How waitlists work;

• Recent changes to the college application process;

• The financial aid process.

This program will begin at 7 p.m. April 10 at the College of DuPage McAninch Arts Center in Glen Ellyn.
