Ultimate Athletes Dominate at All-American Gymnastics Invitational

Lincolnshire, IL, Feb. 24-25, 2018: Ultimate Gymnastics of Gurnee brought their women's Junior Olympics optional teams (Levels 6 through 10) to the All-American Invitational event in late February and brought down the house. Ultimate's girls were victorious at all five levels, winning 23 gold medals, 26 silver medals, 16 bronze medals and two First-Place Team awards.

With only three athletes competing at Levels 9 and 10, Ultimate established a commanding presence by walking away with two gold medals. Sylvia Raquel claimed the Level 10 title for balance beam, while Anna Becker was balance beam champion at Level 9. Individual placements are as follows:

Ultimate's Level 8 athletes took no prisoners, collecting six gold medals among their seven team members and achieving First-Place Team honors. Peri Arkin soared in the Junior A division, taking the gold medal for floor exercise and securing the coveted all-around crown. Teammate Annika Chudy also won two golds, for vault and uneven bars. Junior B gold medal winners were Ainslee Cutler for floor exercise and All Gitler for balance beam. Individual placements are as follows:

Ultimate's Level 7 gymnasts powered their way to a Second-Place Team finish. Jillian Ellenwood continued her hot streak in the Junior A division, placing in the top three for all four events, with gold medals on uneven bars and balance beam and was awarded her third all-around title for the season. Kaya Bogot also excelled in the Senior division, bringing home gold for both balance beam and floor exercise. Individual placements are as follows:

The Level 6 team was on fire, producing all-around champions for all three divisions, and winning the First-Place Team title. Ultimate swept the gold medals in the Junior A division. Nora Werner was gold medalist on floor exercise, Emma Haas earned gold on vault and Alyssah Arends triumphed on both uneven bars and balance beam and was named the all-around champion. In the Junior B division, Kenzie Liebau wrapped up an outstanding season by adding another gold on uneven bars. Maya Roiland also continued to excel, finishing in the top-three for all four events, grabbing gold on vault and the Junior B all-around title. Senior A Reese Berke was top gun for both balance beam and floor exercise, while Becca Tran claimed the Senior all-around title with standout performances on all four events.
