Neil Armstrong has a blast at their first McTeacher's Night

Neil Armstrong Elementary held their first McTeacher's Night on Tuesday, March 6th at the Hoffman Estates Barrington Square McDonald's. This is an event that is hosted by McDonald's and the local school's teachers and staff members volunteer to work a 1-hour shift during the school event and then a percentage of the night's sales are donated to the school.

Teachers worked many different jobs during their event. Teachers helped take orders, worked the drive-thru window, made ice cream treats, cleaned the lobby and sold many delicious McDonald's Apple Pies while dressed in a Pie costume. Principal Diana Lipman and Assistant Principal took turns in the Pie costume during their even and were very successful at selling all 240 pies that were donated to them by the Owner/Operator David Bear.

The money raised from this event will go towards helping pay for the many different activities for the Armstrong community.

This event would not have been successful without all the great teachers and staff from Neil Armstrong Elementary School volunteering their time, also a special thank you goes to Jackie Barrett of the Armstrong PTA Committee, who organized the event.

The McTeacher's Night was courtesy of the Hoffman Estates McDonald's Owner/Operator, David Bear.
