Author PatriciaMcClure comes to Active Senior Expo in Glen Ellyn

Award-winning author Patricia M. McClure will give a presentation on "Caring for a Love One with Alzheimer's" at the Active Senior Expo in Glen Ellyn.

"Caring for a Loved One with Alzheimer's is very challenging," says McClure. It's important for family members and love ones to understand the signs and symptoms of the disease. McClure will educate the audience about Alzheimer's, and unfold the signs and symptoms of the disease. McClure will also give practical guidelines on how to care for a loved one with Alzheimer's/dementia.

The behaviors are a little easier to handle when caregivers are equipped to respond appropriately. McClure will be sharing information from her latest book "The Caregiver's Guide to Alzheimer's: The 9 Key Principles" which is scheduled to be released spring 2018.

"Losing a Hero to Alzheimer's The Story of Pearl" will also be available.

The Active Senior Expo event will be 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at the Abbington Banquets 3S002 Route 53, corner of Route 53 and Butterfield Road.

Participants will receive free products, health screenings, give aways and door prizes, free parking and live entertainment! Admission is free.
