Cardiologist to discuss heart failure March 7 in Crystal Lake

Dr. Mubashir Ahmed, a board-certified cardiologist with Centegra Physician Care, will talk about heart failure at a free community information session from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, in the conference room at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center, 200 E. Congress Parkway, Crystal Lake.

Heart failure is a progressive condition where the heart doesn't pump well enough to meet the body's needs for blood and oxygen. At "Signs & Symptoms of Heart Failure," Ahmed will describe the signs and symptoms of heart failure and discuss treatments and strategies for managing this condition.

The talk is part of Healthy Doses, a series of free information sessions led by clinical experts from Centegra Health System on health care topics.
