Algonquin library asks community to complete survey

Through March 1, the Algonquin Area Public Library District encourages all residents to complete its community survey.

Survey responses will help the library district develop the next strategic plan and continue its history of responsiveness to the community.

Everyone who completes the survey and provides their contact information will be entered into a drawing for an iPad or one of 10 $50 VISA gift cards.

Respondents also will have the option to provide their contact information if they'd like to be involved in future focus groups about the library district.

Visitors to the WinterFest Home and Business Expo on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Jacobs High School can stop by the library's booth and complete the survey.

Paper copies are available at both library locations and were sent with the bimonthly newsletter to residents. Digital, mobile-friendly surveys are accessible at www.surveymonkey.com/r/AAPLDpress.

Filling out the online survey takes approximately 6 minutes.

Diane Strzelecki, Marketing/PR Coordinator, notes that the library district is grateful to residents completing this survey and providing their feedback.

"This survey will continue our track record of listening to our community and responding to their needs and requests to the best of our ability," Strzelecki says. "All feedback is extremely valuable as we move the library forward into the future."

The Algonquin Area Public Library District has more than 23,000 cardholders and serves more than 40,000 residents in a 30-square-mile area including portions of Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, Cary, and Barrington Hills.
