This Disney classic story based on Victor Hugo's 1831 novel "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" comes to life this February in St. Charles.

The story is told through the hit songs from the 1996 film (plus many more that were written for the stage adaptation), dance, live musicians, and the passion of more than 30 performers.

Set in 15th-century France, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" follows the deformed hunchback Quasimodo on his journey to find acceptance, love, and community.

Alan Menken ("Little Mermaid," "Little Shop of Horrors," "Newsies") wrote the music, with lyrics by Stephen Schwartz ("Wicked," "The Prince of Egypt"), and a book by Peter Parnell.

The cast includes: Zach Gibson as Quasimodo, Scott Fleetwood as Claude Frollo, Eliseo Martinez as Clopin, Jacqueline Schultz (Feb. 16-18) and Rachelle Kates (Feb. 23-25) on Esmerelda, Collin Bradley as Captain Phoebus, Jack Colombo as Jehan, Jason Sheldon as Father Dupin, Chris Florio as King Louis XI, Taijun Waters as St. Aphrodisius, Heather Pauliks as Florika, and Robert Thomas as Lieutenant Frederic.
