The Naperville Area Branch of American Association of University Women is taking applications for the Angeline Gale Memorial Scholarship.

It has the following criteria: A woman 26 or older; nearing completion of an undergraduate program (graduation by December 2018); residing or attending school in DuPage, Will, Kendall or Kane counties; cumulative grade-point average of 3.0; enrolled in a full-time, part-time, or accelerated undergraduate program at an accredited institution.

For a complete application packet, visit naperville-il.aauw.net/scholarship/.

Applications are due March 16 and selection will be completed by the end of April.

The scholarship is named after Angeline Gale, an educator and founder of our branch. Each year since 1971, the Naperville branch has offered the scholarship to a woman working toward completion of her degree. The scholarship's intent is to encourage women to scholarly pursuits even when their education may have been interrupted for various reasons.
